SUMMARY Long term deformations strongly depend on the earth model and its rheological parameters, in particular viscosity. We give general theory numerical scheme to compute them for any spherically non-rotating isotropic with linear rheology, either elastic or viscoelastic. Although Laplace transform (LT) is classically used viscoelastic deformation, we choose here instead, implement integration Fourier (FT) order take advantage of fast FT algorithm avoid some LT mathematical difficulties. describe methodology calculate induced by several geophysical signals regardless whether they are periodic not, especially choosing an adapted time sampling FT. As examples, investigate sensitivity displacements due long period solid Earth tides, glacial isostatic adjustment present-day ice melting, anelastic parameters mantle. find that effects anelasticity important deformation relatively low values viscosities both Maxwell Burgers models. show slight modifications models could significantly change amplitude but also affect spatial temporal pattern signal a lesser extent.
